This is the fifth volume in theSex and Horrorseries, which celebrates the Italian publishing phenomenon known as “fumetti sexy” that boomed in the 1960s and ’70s. The huge popularity of these pocked-sized adult comic books was due in part to their uninhibited mix of twisted humour, gory violence, and up-front eroticism. However, what makes them so sought-after today is their technicolour cover illustrations, which were created by classically trained artists. Here, we showcase the sensational and provocative comic book covers produced by Roberto Molino.
